Over the years I’ve discovered something curious about writers.

We love talking about writing.

We love reading about writing.

We love buying books about writing.

We love watching videos about writing.

What we don’t always love is actually writing.

That’s where BIC/WOP comes in. Butt in Chair. Words on Page.

Because no story was ever finished by thinking about writing. Stories get written one sentence, one paragraph, one page at a time.

You’ve found a place where writers gather around the fire and talk shop.

BIC/WOP is more than a collection of articles, tips, and encouragement. Sometimes what writers need most isn’t another craft book or webinar. Sometimes they need a guide. A sounding board. A coach. An editor. A collaborator. A ghost. Someone who can help them move from where they are to where they hope to be.

Writers come to the journey from very different places.

Some have a story to tell but don’t consider themselves writers.

Some have notebooks filled with ideas and don’t know how to begin.

Some have started strong only to find themselves stalled somewhere in the middle.

Some have a completed manuscript but need help shaping it into its best form.

Others are ready to explore publishing and aren’t sure what comes next.

Every story is different. Every writer is different. Every path forward is different.

It may be a memoir. A family history. A novel. A ministry journey. A collection of lessons learned the hard way. It may be a manuscript that’s been sitting in a drawer for years waiting for someone to help breathe life back into it. Whatever form it takes, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Pull up a chair and tell me about it.
