Who Am I—and Why Am I Sitting at the Head of the Table?
I’m Darin Michael Shaw, and I’ve spent most of my adult life working with words.
For 21 years, that happened primarily through pastoral ministry. For well over a decade now, writing has been my profession. I’ve written, ghostwritten and collaboratively developed books; worked with authors to discover and shape the stories they’re trying to tell; edited manuscripts; written hundreds of devotional reflections; and created countless pages of professional long- and short-form content.
I hold Master of Divinity and Master of Arts degrees.
But most of what I’ve learned about writing came the same way I believe most good writing eventually does:
Butt in Chair. Words on Page.
And somewhere along the way, I’ve discovered that I particularly enjoy helping other people find the story they’re trying to tell.
That’s Storysmithing.
